See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Ladies Only Weekend in Mombasa The ladies decided to go to Mombasa for our long weekend, since it was Kenyatta Day on Friday, we got Monday off from class, and today(Tuesday) is the Ramadan holiday. So we opted for a Ladies Only weekend at Diani Beach. Unfortunately, Jenna couldn't go cuz of her finals and last-minute things to get done, since she left for home last night. Sad! So it was me, Chelsie, Laura, Ashley, and Kara. Before we left, Dan and Chris met usat Habesha, this FABULOUS Ethiopian restaurant sort of by Laura's house. Actually, it's down the road (not Ngong) from Java by my house, so it's sort of in the middle of my house and Laura's house. Anyway, we met for dinner, and then they dropped us off at the Coast bus station. That was a VERY good thing cuz it's located in the shady part of town, by River Road. It was really sad saying good-bye to Dan - I didn't realize it until he sent me a message after I got home, but that was the first weekend I've been away from Dan. The bus ride was long and mildly uncomfortable, but I sat with Chelsie and learned all about her life. It's really interesting. She's very Christian, but not in a bad way! I adore her! When we arrived in Mombasa it was POURING rain. Absolutely horrible, considering everyone told us that Mombasa was flooding and people were having to evacuate their...
