See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Mombasa, Diani Beach... attack of the jellyfish I finally have an internet connection to share a few adventures with you all! My flights from Vancouver wentHeathrow, Qatar and then Nairobi. Qatar was quite interesting, everything looked exactly like the middle east you see on the news... only no bomb! From Nairobi I flew down to Mombasa to meet Heather Macleod (best friends since babies) from here on I will call her HM. Once I arrived in Mombasa therewas a taxi man waiting for me with a sign and everything (thanks Hm!) he took me through the city of Mombasa to the area outside the city where we were staying, Diani Beach. HM had booked us into a place called stilts, you will see a pic of our little hut on stilts below. I thought is was quite cute.....at first! The first night I was so tired from all the traveling that I slept really well. Of course there was plenty of catching up and giggling between myself and HM. The next morning I woke up to cute monkeys running across our porch and watching us from the trees. What a great way to be greeted on your first morning in Africa! We had been told not to leave any food out that might attract the monkeys... which we were carefull not to do. HM and I left our hut to have some breakfast, when we returned maybe 30 minutes later HM was quick to exclaim... well you can tell...
