Greetings from Brandenburg, Germany! This town is about 50 miles or so west of Berlin....more than a thousand years old. Very Medieval......small cobblestone streets and all. We are staying in a small boutique hotel here we ran across....did not have a reservation for tonight.Tomorrow we head toward Hannover for a 3-day stay and to meet some of Anna Maes long lost relatives. The Berlin tour was photos of remains of Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie...Brndenburg Gate, Jewish Memorial and much more. Damascus, Syria & Beruit, Lebanon (Day 8) Old town damascus was investigated in the morning, with the souks and the Umayyad mosque. Unfortunately photos in the mosque did not develop very well. The previous night we checked out and found cheap hotel in beruit which we were planning to go to anyway, so we decided to leave today (Thursday) rather than on Friday and to stay 2 nights rather than 1. I find Lebanon alot more liberal than Syria. In actual fact the girls here put the English girls to shame when it comes to fashion. Posted from Syrian…

Jethi Grotto, Tripoli, Babylos, Beruit (Lebanon) (Day 9) This day has been planned to cover the major attractions of north Lebanon. The Grotto (near Beruit) was discovered by a fisherman in 1969. It is two caves (upper and lower), full of stalic mites and stalic tights. the lower cave was most impressive, where travelling through the cave is done by boat, where the water is clear and the roof of the cave can be tall as a 10 storey building. i would come back to lebanon just to see this cave again. Tripoli on the other hand was a tad…
