Arrive Beijing today – serious jetlag – go on a mission to find tianeman square (theoretically along the same round as the place im staying) – I repeat “theoretically”. Largest public square in the whole blimmin world and what do I do? Walk straight past it. Nice one! Decide to leave the heavy sightseeing til I join up with this tour I booked so spend the rest of the day trying not to get lost – which isn’t that hard, Beijing is pretty easy to get around – slightly disappointing really – was hoping for a bit more of a culture shock!

Prices here are crazy though. Went into a supermarket – got two days worth of food for 50p! Nice! And music is the same – Average album costs no more than two quid! In heaven!
