Damascus, Syria & Beruit, Lebanon (Day 8)

Old town damascus was investigated in the morning, with the souks and the Umayyad mosque. Unfortunately photos in the mosque did not develop very well.

The previous night we checked out lastminute.com and found cheap hotel in beruit which we were planning to go to anyway, so we decided to leave today (Thursday) rather than on Friday and to stay 2 nights rather than 1. I find Lebanon alot more liberal than Syria. In actual fact the girls here put the English girls to shame when it comes to fashion.
