I had been awarded long holidays from work and I planned them as Morocco Holidays. My friends and family got concerned and kept asking that why Morocco? I went completely blank because the destination was chosen randomly, there was no exact purpose or logic behind it. Anyways, the hardest part was to give them a satisfactory answer. Somehow, I managed to convince them by enlightening about the natural beauty of Morocco. Despite the reluctance from family, I was determined to go and booked my plan without a second thought.
The good part is that Morocco welcomed me with all that I was expecting. Its mesmerizing landscapes and those little old customs of welcoming the guests and offering mint tea in a silver tea pots were amazing. The country is not much about the road trip but it is always a pleasure to wander around the ancient cities and experience their enlightening history and stunning views. The country will make you fall in love with it at every moment, it’s prehistoric cities, mountain peaks, valleys and well-decorated streets are eye-captivating. Below are the adventures that I enjoyed and also fully lived them with love.
- Tour to Sahara
Either it’s a day or a cold night, it’s love to be in the desert experiencing the wonder of golden sand dunes. It seems so calm yet very thundering at the same time. Are you afraid of camel riding? I was frightened by the idea but then I was the one in a whole group to have a crazy ride. Nights are always beautiful in a Desert. It’s all dark but somewhere in the sky there are few stars gazing at us or maybe they are inspiring us to shine and embrace the emptiness that lies within us.
- Trekking in the Atlas Mountains
You are in Morocco, then how it is possible to miss trekking in the Atlas Mountains? There are tours available for the first time trekkers and for experienced trekkers as well. If you’re visiting Morocco in the season of spring, then will surely find a very mild temperature. This season is best to enjoy trekking in the Atlas Mountains and relish the view that can turn out to be spellbinding for eyes and heart.
- Chefchaouen
The city that is also known as the blue city, is amazingly describing the lifestyle of the town in the past. The labyrinths of the city are quite fascinating. Wandering around them is a lot of fun. Not only because of its blue washed wall art but you’ll also find wandering cats around it. I found them very friendly too. Although, I don’t like pets but loved watching them roaming around freely in the streets.
- Essaouira beaches
The beach activities in Essaouira are very well managed. The security is attentive and they don’t let haulers disturb you while relaxing at the beach. Enjoy the fun while playing with your friends and don’t forget to choose the activity of surfing in the ocean.
- Medinas of Fez
These medinas in Fez are culturally vibrant and diversely artistic. Every corner of it is presenting the best of Morocco and needs to be on the top of your Morocco travel bucket. The glory of Fez-el-Bali shines with all of its charm and one can always have a spectacular experience of shopping there.
- Heritage sites
There are many sites marked as a UNESCO world heritage and they are rare art pieces from the history of Morocco. Volubilis, the city of Meknes and Portuguese city of Mazagan is one of the fine examples of Moroccan heritage. They are not only a part of a thrilling history of the kingdom but have become the inspiration of artists from all over the world.
Apart from the landscapes and valleys, there is a pure diversity of culture. Old customs, values, respect and most importantly people that are full of love. The notion of love for adventure will not only get broadened but the vibe of being alive will also awake in you by travelling to Morocco. This is the way of Morocco, it makes you feel free and alive, life can be cherished with fewer gadgets when you have the stunning beauty around. So, dream and chase your dreams until you reach the goal.
However, if you have planned your next holiday to Morocco and somebody is asking that why you have chosen Morocco, then you have an answer to reply back.
